Value PC Computer
System was established in
the year 2000. How did everything
start? Please take some time to read
the story….
How it started?
Basically the owners of Value PC wasn’t into the computer
business but needed a lot of computers to expand their core business. But since the new computers are really
beyond “affordable”, the owners decided
to just buy used computers and other office equipments. Unfortunately, during those times only a few
companies are dealing with used computers.
In fact, there was only one company (in Pasig) at that time doing this
stuff and it was quite a frustrating ordeal since most of the items being sold
were almost considered junk and “Salvaged items”. Not only were the prices hefty (although still cheaper than brand
new) but it was so frustrating since
most upgrades were available at a very high price and technical support were so
lousy. It got to the point that we have
to make our own research for the equipment we bought and import some upgrade
components like ram, hard disk, etc. in order to make those old computers to work
at par with the “new” computers at still “affordable” prices. So we upgraded the bios of the
computer, added a lot ram and the hard
drives, cleaned them up and
PRESTO… our computer was now
running like a newly rejuvenated machine!!!
1 newly refurbished computer became 10 and 10 units became 20 units for
our friend’s requirement and so on…
Thus, Value PC was born.
Our
Goal
To give “value for money”
a new meaning by distributing QUALITY
refurbished computers at an affordable price. We emphasize on quality with QUALITY
as many companies would be selling dirt cheap computer promising all sorts of
stuff but they are nothing but SALVAGED JUNK computers. VALUE PC DOES NOT SELL THOSE STUFF!!! We make sure that each computer passes
through the most stringent quality control in our production line. Also,
90% of supplies comes directly from well known refurbishing plants in
America which deals only with popular
brands like Compaq, IBM, HP and DELL. These
companies have filtered most of the “junk” and therefore giving us a more
reliable PC. So our computers are
already pre conditioned and pre selected from USA then goes through our own
quality control setup here giving you the most reliable computer ever! I think you guys know that even brand new
clones are not being tested thoroughly before they are being sold
(compatibility issues always comes up).
Brand new computers are simply too expensive for the
masses. Therefore, another goal of the
company is to give ordinary Filipinos the RIGHT
to own a computer. I say a
right and not a privilege because students
need the internet and you need a
computer for the NET. With our present
minimum wage, how can an ordinary
public school student afford to buy a 25 thousand worth of equipment? IMPOSSIBLE.
Our computers are so affordable such that you can get a PENTIUM computer at 3000 pesos!!!!! That is a fully functional PC that can surf
the net!!!! How do we make it
affordable???? Buy LOW Sell
LOW!!!!! We would like to revise the
old adage of buy low, sell high. We feel that a better way is to buy low and
sell low. Selling low creates opportunity and loyalty from our customers. It
allows us to grow our business and be a very effective channel to move large
amounts of merchandise.
Aside from being affordable, we try to maximize the life of
computers which proved to be very hard to recycle. Our goal is to prolong the
life of any computer so as to prevent them from being dumped into Land fills
which would be very toxic and bad for the environment. By refurbishing and remarketing
older computer systems, we are finding productive uses for equipment that would
otherwise be discarded. Through the
dedication and hard work of our management and staff, we have given users of
computers and electronics an alternative to landfilling the equipment.
